We Went Shopping

Last saturday, we went shopping…the entire family. I did the driving and she told where we were to go. I could still our blue and red lines at war. Here was another classic example of our difference.
Anyway back to our story. While I kept bugging my wife on what is next on the list, the kids well having a blast of a time. This included their own mental shopping list about what they wanted and we were trying to get them to understand that we cannot shop for whatever they want, whenever they want. I must admit, it was not easy to let my wife “experience” her shopping. So I decided to take time with the kids, giving them rides in the trolley (they have other uses too. If you think I was abusing the thing you should see what the shop owners do with it at times!)
It turned out to be a great day shopping with a few adventures here and there. (Locking the car keys in the car…) The spend time with the kids while shopping certainly worked for me. Try it.
