In this series, we come to a crucial part that most people usually opt away from for various reasons. And yet this is one of the most revealing concept that we all have to grapple with at one time or another in our lives.

To begin with, let us recap on what we said in the last article: every human being on the planet is in either one of the following categories:

The Self directed live does not care about God. It does not know God and, no matter how good things look on that outside, there is discord, frustration, powerlessness to overcome sin, among others. Basically, this is a life that is disconnected from the joys of knowing God.

The Jesus Christ directed life is different in that Christ is on the throne of that life and directs it. The self is yielding to Christ’s rule; the interests, relationships are directed by Him and this results in harmony with God’s plan. There is joy in the Christ directed life.

The questions are

• Which kind of life are you?
• Which kind of life would you like to be?

If you would like your life to be the Christ directed life then you need to heed the words of this verse and confess is sincerely;

⁹Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

¹⁰For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

Sounds simple, I know, but that is where most miss it, it’s simplicity. Read what the Bible says about those who take this step:

¹²But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name–

John 1:12 (Amplified Bible) – my underline for emphasis

So there you have it. The most important decision you can make for eternity. I trust that you will make it, or have made it and will now be moving on. It’s never too late.
