Here is something I have been thinking of: the new year begins and the preachers, pastors, prophets etc make very bold declarations of this year being the year of prosperity or increase and so on. We all shout a  hearty “Amen!”

Then we go back to living life in the grind. Before you know it, six months have gone by and then the year ends. Then the prophets come again….

Is it just me or there is something amiss here? I have asked whether God is not out to fulfill prophesy/predictions or the announcers get it wrong or it is us, sitting in the pews, who get it wrong.

We have to slaughter this sacred cow. Something is not right here and we are not doing a post mortem.

And the number of those who are getting frustrated keeps on increasing.

I can’t help thinking that this is one of the reasons why people hop from church to church, looking for that elusive end of the rainbow….
