Just yesterday my son came into the room I call office, at home. "Dad, I know you have to work so that we get money and buy things. But when you are through, can we have some fun? We can play games."
Okay, the boy is 7 and his idea of fun and games are at his level. The tension is this: I need to work in order to earn money but he will only be 7 this once. My decision? I halted the work and played him to sleep (he enjoyed it). Then I picked up on my work and completed it. Hopefully I will earn some money from it.
Moral of the story: have time to play with your kids (no matter how old). They will only be that age once.
ciao
